Hi:

My name is Bill. One of my “hobbies” has been (and continues to be) to travel around the world (the United States many times, Canada many times and Europe) riding BMW motorcycles. I ride for the adventure but also for the history and culture that traveling on a bike brings. It’s both a rewarding and challenging lifestyle that breaks through the barriers of travel to bring the places and people I visit into a focus that I can share with others. I love it, and I am planning a special trip for 2011 that will push the envelope a bit further. Quite a bit further. I’m really excited about the future. More on that later.

My day job has always been in executive management. It’s paid the bills and allowed my family to enjoy a good life. I enjoy solving problems. I’ve successfully managed multi million dollar businesses with hundreds of employees. Leaving the business in a better place than I’ve found them is a trademark of mine. Turnarounds are a specialty. Dealing with unions is a particular skill that has earned me respect from both the union and non union community. I have a history of employing creative solutions to solve complex issues facing companies trying to manage in today’s difficult environment.

So, welcome to my web blog. If you want to talk bikes and travel I’m your guy. BMW bikes and repair is a specialty. If you want to talk about history and historic perspective, I’m you man. If you want to discuss management ideas, I’m also your man. I even know how to chef my way into fine foods, another hobby!
